The Studio Bike Pro is the top-of-the-line model in the series, with a number of great features and capabilities not typical found on a residential exercise bike. It's a great choice for those who want that on in-studio feel without spending $2000+ on an indoor cycle.
The Studio Pro has a 10” smart HD touchscreen display. It shows an array of workout data including speed, time, distance, calories burned, and heart rate. You can tap into all of the great features of the company's iFit program, and it's all right there at your fingertips.
Let's take a look at some of the specs...
UPDATE: ProForm recently released a new Studio Bike Pro 22, with a huge 22" Smart HD touch screen and some additional upgrades!
The biggest selling point of the Studio Pro is the ability to choose from an unlimited library of diverse workouts through iFit, the company's unique immerse workout experience.
It is an upgrade of the previous version of this bike, the ProForm TDF 5.0.
You can burn more calories, tone the muscles in your lower body, and develop tremendous cardiovascular endurance, or whatever your fitness goals may be. There's a program for every fitness level and goal.
The iFit membership, for which you have to pay separately, gives you access to a number of interactive features that can make your workouts more interesting and also help you stay motivated.
Note that as of the writing of this review the ProForm Studio Bike Pro is FREE with a 3-year iFit membership. We're not sure how long this deal will last but if you see it it's worth taking advantage of.
The Google Maps Street View feature lets you choose any biking trail from anywhere in the world. Once you do, the bike adjusts its resistance to simulate the terrain of the trail you choose. You can also watch the landscape on the touchscreen display in high definition, which is pretty awesome.
The Studio Pro’s 10” touchscreen display is a big step-up from the basic LED display that the previous Studio Bike had. You can access all the important workout stats at the touch of a button.
It is also web enabled, so you can watch the news, catch up with your friends on social media, check your email, watch your favorite videos, and do lots more.
You can also watch LiveCast classes on the touchscreen, which is yet another benefit of the iFit membership. These classes allow you to learn from the best minds in the fitness training industry. It is like having a virtual gym membership. You also get a wearable iFit device with the membership, which helps you monitor your heart rate and track your fitness progress.
The console definitely deserves a mention here. You can pivot it any way you want, thanks to the innovative SmartSwivel design. You can choose any program you want to get a glimpse of what it is like to participate in a race. Depending on the program you choose, the bike adjusts the settings automatically.
You can adjust the seat and the handlebars vertically as well as horizontally. So, irrespective of your height or body type, you can find your perfect fit and work out comfortably.
You can use the dumbbells for upper body workouts. Thanks to the SmartSwivel console, you do not have to worry about not being able to watch the LiveCast classes or your favorite videos and movies while working out with the dumbbells. You can simply turn the console in your direction and continue with those hammer curls.
The Studio Pro is definitely an improvement on previous models, with more solid construction, HD touchscreen display and unlimited workouts.
The iFit membership offers a barrage of features to make your workout sessions more productive and interesting. The bike is sturdily built and comes with a solid warranty.
On the whole, the Studio Pro is an excellent bike from ProForm and there is nothing much to complain about.
