The Buzz

Everyone loves the Concept 2 Bike Erg, as well as the rest of the company's lineup.

Why? Because they simply make a great product.  There is a ton of research and development that goes into every piece of equipment that they make, and the result is a high performance machine that delivers on all fronts.

The Bike Erg is no exception.  It is durable enough to be at home in any health club, yet affordable enough to be welcome in any home gym.  It's not cheap by any stretch, but for what you are getting it could easily be $500 more expensive and still be a bargain.

Concept 2 focuses on the workout, not on the bells and whistles.  And that's what it should be about.

The Bike Erg is built tough, yet it is very light weight and you can easily move and store it after a workout with the attached transport wheels.

The flywheel allows you to coast...it keeps rotating even when you stop pedaling, which is great for those long workouts when you just want to take a little break.

You can lean in and easily adjust the damper, which controls the amount of air flow coming from the flywheel.  Speaking of adjustability, you can definitely find the perfect fit, no matter your size.

The multi-grip handlebars can be adjusted not only up and down but fore and aft as well.  The seat can be moved up and down, and you can even make further adjustments when you're already seated.

You an attach your phone or tablet to the Concept 2 Bike Erg monitor, and with the included Bluetooth and ANT + capability, you can sync everything to your favorite fitness apps or measure your heart rate wirelessly.

The PM5 Performance Monitor, which is the same one found on the Concept 2 rowing machines and Ski Erg, gives you a ton of accurate data you just don't get on other exercise bikes...pace, calories, watts, cadence...and stores the information for you.  You can view it in many different formats and then transfer all of that data as we mentioned.

The PM5 also offers games and you can compete against others in the same room or anywhere in the world.

So the Concept 2 Bike Erg is going to be a lot different than most other exercise bikes on the market, even other air resistance machines.  

The ride is smoother and quieter, the console has much more capability and it's just a great home bike overall, especially given the affordable price.
