The Proform 315 CSX exercise bike features smooth, frictionless resistance and a quiet belt drive system for a comfortable workout. Other features include the hand-grip heart rate monitors located in the handles next to the seat, an iPod plug-in and two 2-inch speakers on the console, 12 resistance levels, and a comfortable padded seat with back lumbar support.
The iFit Live program feature is optional to use. If you buy the wireless adapter, you can then connect to the internet through your home wireless network, and download additional workouts designed by pro trainer Jillian Michaels, plus upload fitness results to a personal page at ifit.com, and use Powered by Google Maps to follow along on virtual roads all over the world.
But with 20 workouts already included on the computer, you don’t need to spend the extra money on this feature.
The ProForm 315 CSX exercise bike sells for about $389 at amazon and $499 regularly at Proform’s website. This model has a power pack so you don’t have to install and change batteries constantly, which is a plus over other budget models that run on D batteries.
Users who have done reviews on their machines indicate they are happy with their purchases and find the 315 CSX to be an okay value if you can find it online for under $400 with free shipping.
