The Buzz

The SB900 gets positive reviews from the experts, who appreciate the solid construction, quiet motion and pedal options.

There are several improvements over the base SB700 model, including a wireless console, the eddy current brake system which makes it much smoother and quieter and a SPD (clipless) pedal option.

It is also much more sturdy, weighing in at 160 pounds as opposed to 141 on the SB700 indoor exercise bike.

Sole has made a name for themselves in the fitness industry as a company that provides high quality exercise equipment at very affordable prices.  One of the reasons they are able to do this is because they ship direct...there is no middle man.  You also get free shipping and no sales tax...so you can really save a lot of money.

Their bikes are no exception.  They are all built very well and are designed to be bio-mechanically correct to ensure the most natural motion.

The SB900 has a heavy 48 lb. flywheel and eddy current resistance, an upgrade to the felt pad brake resistance on the SB700.  Both the seat and the handlebars can be adjusted to fit your needs.  You can use toeclip or clipless SPD pedals.

As far as negatives, there aren't many.  The display is very basic but it's functional.  It would be nice if the wireless heart rate monitor came with the bike, but at this price point it's not common.

The SB900 is a solid indoor exercise bike that gets very good reviews.  It's affordably priced and will definitely help you reach your fitness goals.

If you want to save a little bit of money take a look at the SB700 model as well, which is about $200 less.  Both bikes are Best Buys in their respective price categories.
